Hello! Welcome to Empowered Montessori Mama. I hope this will be a place to share ideas and tips for living well with chronic disease whilst parenting.
I am a mother of one– with a second baby on the way- from London living with several autoimmune diseases. I have been on a journey to find the best way to live as healthily as possible whilst creating a nurturing environment for my toddler.
Becoming a new parent is challenging. Living with unpredictable and often debilitating diseases is challenging. Doing both at once sometimes feels impossible. But by making key lifestyle changes and incorporating the Montessori philosophy into my home, both my daughter and I are thriving.
I hope that by sharing the tips and strategies it has taken me months or years to learn, I can help empower and give confidence to others in a similar situation.
Whether you are a parent with disabilities or just someone interested in bringing some Montessori ideas into your home, I hope you will find some inspiration here.
