Empowering parents with health challenges using the Montessori method

In my quest to find an effective parenting method that accommodates my needs as a mother with chronic illnesses, I discovered the Montessori approach.

It was developed by an inspirational Italian woman around a hundred years ago. A true trailblazer Maria Montessori became the first female doctor in Italy. She developed her unique and scientific approach to education whilst observing children thought to have “mental difficulties”. Her techniques and educational materials were so successful in helping children to learn that they were replicated nationally and internationally. Thanks to modern media, her philosophy seems to be gaining in popularity and for good reason.
